So, this was my first time trying out Plushglass.  I know it’s a lip plumping product, but I’ve never used any lip enhancers before this.  I didn’t know the product was going to tingle and it completely freaked me out! lol I took it off immediately.   I couldn’t stand the thought of leaving it on long enough to photograph it.  So, sorry folks, no lip comparisons in this review, but I did swatch them on my arm.  I layered the plushglasses on THICK to show off the colour, but part of each swatch is left naturally sheer so you can see what it would actually look like on the lips.

| Pretty Plush | Soft pink with white pearlized pigments | $19.50 US, $22.50 CAD | Permanent | 4.2mL

Looking at this shade, I didn’t expect Pretty Plush to look like gold shimmer on my skin!  Pleasant surprise.  This would give a great sparkle to nude and brown lipsticks.

| Fashion Fanatic| Creamy pale pink | $19.50 US, $22.50 CAD | Limited Edition | 4.2mL

“Creamy pale pink” is right.  Nothing about Fashion Fanatic was flattering on me.

| Confetti | Bright orange coral with soft pearlized pigments | $19.50 US, $22.50 CAD | Limited Edition | 4.2mL

As described, Confetti looks like a bright orangey coral in the tube, but as usual, this coral shade looks more pink on me.  It’s a pretty colour and is it gives a nice shimmer when layered over similarly coloured lipsticks.

| On A Holiday | Bright pink with blue pearlized pigments | $19.50 US, $22.50 CAD | Limited Edition | 4.2mL

Cute, strawberry shade of pink, but nothing special.  I’m sure the blue pearl would look interesting over blue-based pink or red lipsticks.

| Butterfly Dream | Mid-tone violet with blue pearlized pigments | $19.50 US, $22.50 CAD | Limited Edition | 4.2mL

I didn’t think I’d like this colour at all, but Butterfly Dream looks dope over blue-based pink lipsticks.  The blue pearl in it creates an irridescent and vivid effect over the lipstick which I really liked.  On it’s own, however, meh… it just looks like clear gloss with a hint of “something”

LOVES:

  • High gloss finish
  • The pearlized finish gives a nice shimmer & irridescent effect to complimentary lipstick shades

LOATHES:

  • The tingly feeling was unexpected and very foreign to me.  No likey
  • Smells like…. something.  Candy?? Some folks may like the scent, but to me, it smelled very artificial and far too sweet
  • Extremely sheer when worn alone
  • If you aren’t using it for lip plumping, these Plushglasses are only useful when layered over lipstick or liner

FINAL WORD:

Because these are so sheer, I find they are best when used over a lipstick or liner.  To me, if you don’t care about lip plumping, none of these are worth the effort.  Just get a more pigmented gloss and call it a day.  Honestly, I’m not sure whether to call these BrownGirlFriendly or not, since they’re all essentially one step above a clear gloss in terms of colour pay-off.  My recommendation: skip these bad boys and invest in a good gloss without the tingly drama.
